OUR BREEDING PHILOSOPHY & STYLE
When we bought our first Rocky Mountain Horse, “I’m Too Fancy” from Mountain Magic Ranch in 
Montana,
we immediately fell in love with the Rocky Mountain temperament &
personality. Ever since then, we have had the primary goal of
maintaining the calm, perfect, gentle and always willing nature of this
breed of horse.
Rockies
are best known for chocolate colored bodies with flaxen or white manes
& tails, but they can come in solid colors as well. We have
signature chocolate, black, bays & roans. Although most recognized,
color is actually the least important characteristic of a Rocky
Mountain Horse. They are trail horses at heart, with solid gaits and
good conformation. Rockies are easy to keep and as gentle as babies.
Our horses are all experienced trail riders, accustomed to steep,
narrow mountain
trails ranging from the Smokey Mountains to the Rocky Mountains. We are
avid travelers, taking them on 80 mile pack trips, therefore, it is
important that we have sure footed and dependable horses. Luckily,
Rockies are the perfect breed for the job. If your family likes to camp
and trail ride, this the horse for you.
The
Wes Ben Farm horses are also great show horses. We have photos posted
from a number of different horse shows and competitions taking place
around the country.
We have both Rocky Mountain and Kentucky Mountain horses out of the following blood lines:

-Old Time Hershey Boy
-Toby’s Spirit Dancer (out of Johnson’s Toby)
